Delicious Avocado Dip/Spread (Gut Healing Recipes)

Did you know that healing your gut doesn't have to be bland and tasteless? Check out this Delicious Avocado Dip/Spread packed full of goodness to keep your taste buds wanting more!

THE DOWN LOW

Yes, you guessed it, I'm one of "those" people when it comes to Avocado's! I absolutely LOVE them! Prior to my gut cleanse, Guacamole was one of my all time favourite things to have alongside any dish! I used to eat a lot of tomatoes and onions until I had to phase them out for the cleanse! But this recipe is just as delicious and includes lots of goodness for the tummy that are easily digested along side the avocado!

THE CONCOCTION

This delicious avocado dip can be used as a side, or even a spread on your breakfast burgers or midday/lunch time snack with crackers! It's so versatile and did I mention delicious? It's become a staple since healing my gut and now I can't go back!

It's an easy to whip up, simple yet tasty alternative to purchasing dips from the grocery store! This way you know what's going into it and how fresh it is when it's home made!

INGREDIENTS

• 1 Avocado

• Fresh Cilantro leaves (a handful)

• Pepitas (Pumpkin Seeds)

• 1 Garlic (optional)

• Chilli Flakes or Fresh Chilli (optional)

• Half a Lemon (Juice)

• Pink Himalayan Salt

• A pinch of Pepitas

• A pinch of Mixed Seeds

• A pinch of Mixed Herbs

THE RECIPE

Step 1: Prepare the Mash: Cut one Avocado in half, remove the seed and add into a mixing or mashing bowl.

Step 2: Add half a freshly squeezed lemon, a handful of cilantro (chopped), some pink himalayan salt, and some mixed herbs. To this, add a pinch of pepitas, and a pinch of mixed seeds (of your choice).

Step 3: Mash or blend the avocado with all of the ingredients until well combined into a thick, creamy paste. Now you are ready to serve and enjoy as a dip, a side or a spread!

VAAAALAAAH!

There you have it, an easy, simple, delicious and gut friendly plant based recipe. Definitely one of my favourite plant based dips to date! If you wish to make more servings, simply add 1 Avocado per extra serve. Enjoy!
