Fearing Fear? Let's Talk About It...
Fear, one of the biggest "pandemics" that has plagued mankind since the beginning of our time here on earth. Among those fears are two of the biggest ancestral patterns that plague humanity even to this day...fear of pain and fear of survival.
Although today we are living as the most comfortable generation on earth, majority of the humans on this planet are still operating from a place of lack and scarcity. Fear of not having enough, and fear of survival are the two weapons that are utilised to keep our species indoctrinated. It is so deeply embedded within our consciousness and programming, that we still carry it with us today, despite the fact that we are the most materially well looked after generation in the history of mankind.
Even with more access to food, water, shelter, clothing, comfort, and technology we still struggle to grasp the simplicity of life. We are consistently bombarded with so much information on a global scale, and a plethora of opportunities (most of which, people are too afraid to take) that trying to dissect it all with the intellectual mind alone can become rather challenging. Despite having these material comforts of life, we lack what previous generations were connected to the most, their souls, their intuition, their "inner-knowing".
Throughout history it has been evident that those who are more in touch with nature (Shakti), are also more in touch with source energy and the infinite potential of an ever expanding consciousness. They just seem to "know" things about life, that not even google has the answers to. They understand the frequency and sequence of life, and that in order to be a full fledged life, once must be willing to face their fears at every stage of the journey while they are alive. Fear is not something to bypass or escape, it is something to be walked through and conquered. As the saying goes, "feel the fear and do it anyway", that is truly what gets you to the other side each time, that is truly what will build your strength, confidence and unshakable faith.
What the ancients/ancestors knew about life...
If you look into ancient Egypt, the Mayans, India's historical yogis, Tibetan culture, Indigenous people, native people, our ancestors, and so many cultures in history, they all had one thing in common, a spiritual connectedness to the oneness of all things. They understood deeply on a soul level that in order to conquer fear, in order to survive, they had to build and create from a place of love, to protect nature and to leave the world in a better state than how they found it. This knowing required enormous faith and trust that they would cared for and provided by the source of creation if they continued to live from their hearts and created fearlessly.
With such an emphasis these days on the external outward state of the world, it has become exceedingly difficult to take the time to go within and connect with ourselves and our larger consciousness (inner being). Most people are operating on auto-pilot, unconsciously carrying around the age old burden of fear of survival and the lack and loss mentality. This energy only creates more fear, more lack and even more loss. A prime example of this is the current pandemic, the energy of fear is stamped all over it.
When we operate out of a place of fear of not having enough, then the universe grants us with exactly that, not enough! When we fear survival, we scare ourselves into thinking that ANYTHING we do that could be a potential risk of getting hurt (dreams, aspirations, taking a leap of faith, jumping out of a plane etc), is just not worth the pain! In doing so, we hold back our entire lives from liberating ourselves of these fears, truly living in the moment and enjoying the essence of life. It's something deeply ingrained in the human collective, from the torture inflicted on our ancestors right down to our parents, who often "warn" their children of what "NOT" to do "incase" they get hurt. And the cycle goes on, and on and on. But if we do not allow our children to feel pain, or constantly mask our own pain in fear that others will "judge" us, we are truly suffocating our ability to live a full fledged life and liberate ourselves through the process, experience and journey of being on earth.
FACE YOUR FEARS AND FREE YOURSELF!
Without having faced our fears, we will never truly have lived. Without ever feeling pain, we will never truly be able to experience the freedom we all long for, Freedom is found through unconditional love, peace, harmony, faith, surrender and a merge with the oneness of all things. Facing our fears, brings true freedom and "Moksha" (liberation). Doing the things we fear enables us to move beyond one cycle of life and into another, often up-levelling us to the "next stage" or "next phase" of our lives.
On the contrary, facing our fears is a lot easier said than done and whether or not we do this, the natural order and cycle of life/nature will continue with or without our approval. Here are some tips on how to free yourself from old baggage, cycles, karmic patterns, societal and parental conditioning and ancestral programming:
1. JUST DO IT/TAKE ACTION! - literally, whatever it is, just get up and take the first step. As humans we are actionary beings, and as long as we refuse to take action towards whatever is keeping us stuck in a state of fear, it will only continue to hold us back. This could be things such as starting a business you've always wanted to, writing a book, going on a hike, riding a motorbike for the first time, taking up a spiritual practice, moving countries, leaving a job, pursuing your passions and purpose etc.
2. Meditation and Energy Clearing - One of the fastest ways I found along my journey was to eradicate the fear and pain through energy clearing. Sometimes the fear is so deeply unconscious that we aren't even aware where it's coming from or how it got there in the first place! Energy clearing works great for this, as it gets to the root of the energy and eradicates it from the core. It works on the premise of setting intentions and holding a strong belief in your power as a co-creator and energetic being. Of course this one takes time, and the more you do it and feel the release of old energy, the more you will understand how powerful you truly are in terms of creating your own reality. 3. Do things you've never done - We all have that list of things we'd LOVE to do, but we often ignore the list of things we NEVER want to do and refuse to ask ourselves why? Write down a list of things you would like to do but don't want to do, then get to the core of the issue, which fear is present and why? When you follow through with some of these things (assuming they are reasonable, like riding a roller coaster or going somewhere you've never been) you break through some of the fear that has held you back from viewing things objectively in the past out of a state of chronic fear. Before you attempt a big leap of faith, start with the smaller things that you can do sooner and have more immediate access to. The little triumphs will instil confidence in you to get through the big leaps. One step at a time to the edge of the mountain will give you the courage to take that final leap when the time comes.
4. Keep a journal - Sometimes writing down and documenting things helps us to get them out of our system and de-clutters the mind, freeing us for a more clear train of thought. Journalling can be a great way to release unwanted negative emotions in a safe and secure manner, without having to cause harm to ourselves in the process. It can be extremely therapeutic if done regularly and can assist others if we use it as a form of story telling. Start to document your journey, by the time you have reached the other side of your fear, you might be surprised at how far you have come, and may just have an inspirational story to tell.
5. Connect with Nature - I know we all hear this one a lot these days, but it's honestly one of the best things I ever did at the early stages of my awakening, and to be honest, it felt more like home then being locked inside a house at the time. Connecting to nature allows us to switch off from the outside world and to tap into our inter-connectedness with the world in and around us. It helps us to listen to our inner guidance and higher-self with much more ease, as the frequency of nature helps us to become more receptive.
Being surrounded by wild-life, trees, beautiful flowers in bloom, sunshine, air, water, and all the beautiful colours of the earth can be extremely healing and grounding at the same time. When we can connect to our higher consciousness in this way, fears are automatically dismantled, as we are operating from a place of love and unity rather than fear, lack and loss. Love and Fear live on opposite ends of the spectrum, so the more you can uplift into a place of love and a high vibrational state of being, the more your fears don't stand a chance! The vibration of nature will allow you to be more open and remind you why you want to follow your heart and your path in the first place.
6. Be REAL with yourself, be your own best friend - One thing that society always teaches us, is to look outside of ourselves for the answers, a sense of approval, validation and support. But we all know that most of the time, seeking healing from outside of ourselves can be a short lived experience. This is one of the primary reasons why my purpose is to give people their power back, by helping them to realise the source of power, healing and strength within themselves. In any healing I deliver, I guide the client through the entire process, so from that point forward they are equipped with the tools and able to do it on their own, which helps them to break free form codependency and learn to utilise the tools to empower and depend on themselves.
When we look outside of ourselves or to others for the answers, we can form a dependency on others, this can often be the reason why counselling or years of therapy may not fully help in healing a person; as they forget that the power and source of healing is within them. It's kind of like watching a motivational video when your not ready to receive the messages, I'm sorry to say but you just wasted 20 minutes of your precious life! Because tomorrow morning when you wake up you'll do the same thing, repeat the same patterns and stay stuck in a limiting cycle. So how do we combat this?
BE REAL! It's time to face the "man/woman in the mirror". It's time to ask yourself why you need other people to make you feel whole and better when you are already whole on your own. It's time to talk aloud and hear what you really have to say to yourself. To give yourself a hug when your hurt rather than inflict more pain upon yourself. To look after your health and state of mind, and most importantly to invest in yourself. If after doing this self analysis you realise you need to seek outside help, then by all means go ahead. The important thing is that you firstly gain an awareness of what the fear is and how it's holding you back before you seek answers externally. When you invest in yourself, your dreams and your joy, you heal yourself simultaneously by starving your fears and focusing on your strengths and passions. Always start with you, always do what you can do, and from there seek what is needed and apply it where necessary. The more you put "in" the more you get out.
So there you have it, my take on how to break through the fears and get shit done! Fears held me back all my life, and the more I became aware of them and learnt how to clear and transmute them from my being, the more the road to my destiny opened up clearly before me. With each step I take on my soul path, I am liberated, and as I continue to pursue my purpose, I wish nothing but the same for all of you. Ultimate freedom & liberation from fear.
